A few days ago Liverpool announced a new global partnership with the tourism board of Mauritius.
The three-year deal designates the African island nation’s travel body as the Premier League Champions official tourism and economic development partner.
Liverpool are now the third team to get involved with African countries in recent times after Arsenal and Everton. This is a great opportunity for the Island nation to be involved with one of the biggest brands in the world! A mutually beneficial relationship that is designed to boost Mauritius’ drive to become a leading global tourist destination and business hub for Africa.
The deal, which will run for three years, following the opening of the LFC International Academy on the island in July 2019 which is huge for football and talent in the country.
The deal will see the island nation promoted across a range of Liverpool assets, including social media, digital and marketing platforms.
Through this kind of connections, more African talent will eventually be in the Premier League where we can get the next Salah or Mane.
Still I ask the same question where is Kenya?
